The door module support for a car door has guide bars (3, 4) which are in a diagonal position where they do not protrude beyond the edges (11, 12) of the module during transport. They are moved to a functional position where they engage with the window positioning system and protrude beyond the module during fitting. An independent claim is included for a method for assembling a car door using the module.
