A first function (F1) entails three possible forms/technical solutions (a11-a13). Second (F2) and third (F3) functions each entail two forms. Connection lines between forms show which forms of consecutive functions are compatible. E.g. a11 is compatible with a21 but not with a22. Because of the incompatibility of a21 with a32, there is no product concept, in which a11 and a32 occur together. Independent claims are also included for the following: (a) A method for assisting in the planning of products; (b) and for a computer program product with a program for the method for the method of the present invention; (c) and for a product with a product concept based on the method of the present invention.
