<P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a visual acuity examination apparatus thin in thickness, light in weight and capable of illuminating visual acuity examination marks one by one. <P>SOLUTION: This visual acuity examination apparatus is divided by a back panel, a front panel and side panels. The front panel is opaque and milky white, and a large number of the marks for the visual acuity examination are printed on its surface. The marks are illuminated with illumination lights provided on the surface of the back panel. Back panel areas of the respective marks are divided between the back panel and the front panel by each mark.
