<P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To reliably notify a viewer of emergency broadcasting by starting a display device in the case of emergency broadcasting even when a main power source is turned off and consequently the display device cannot receive a control signal from a television broadcasting receiving apparatus. <P>SOLUTION: A BS television broadcasting receiver 1 for receiving emergency broadcasting is provided with: a control part 19 for controlling a television receiver 2 by transmitting a control signal via an IR transmitter 5; and a power source switch 22a for interrupting power supply from a power source part 22 to the television receiver 2 for a fixed period of time in response to an instruction of the control part 19 when an emergency broadcasting processing part 20 detects a reception of emergency broadcasting. The television receiver 2 is provided with: an interruption detecting sensor 24 for detecting the interruption of power supply; and a standby transit part 26 to transit to a standby state in which the control signal can be received from the control part 19 when the interruption of power supply is detected. Electric energy to be supplied is measured with a current sensor 23, and when the electric energy is smaller than a fixed quantity showing the main power source ON state of the television receiver 2, the control part 19 interrupts the power supply. <P>COPYRIGHT: (C)2004,JPO |
