<P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a microwave transmission line that suppresses leakage and resonance modes caused at high frequencies, can be simply manufactured without a limit on the size of a microwave board and the need for using via-holes, and can transmit microwaves at a transmission band of ≥100 GHz independently of the quality of the micro wave board. <P>SOLUTION: A part of the board for producing a microwave line signal is opened, the side face of the opening is mtalized, a dielectric material with a low dielectric constant and a low tanD excellent in the microwave characteristics is buried at the opening, a coplanar line structure is formed on the dielectric material on the surface of the board to connect a ground metal to the metalized part at the side face of the opening and to metalize the dielectric material part on the rear side of the board and the dielectric material is connected to the metalized part at the side face of the opening. <P>COPYRIGHT: (C)2004,JPO |
