PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To perform reproduction control by down-loading entire contents from the beginning and separately acquiring profile information for enabling a user to reproduce data.

SOLUTION: Formal data are down-loaded from the beginning and the user performs reproduction on the basis of a profile designating an area wherein data are reproduced. Thus, even when formal contents are distributed, reproduction control is performed on a distribution side.
