PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide an echo canceller capable of responding to crosstalk noises. SOLUTION: The device comprises a transmitter 10 for transmitting a transmission signal 100 to a subscriber line 200 through a HYB 70, and a subtracter 60 for outputting an echo residual signal 400 after subtracting echo replica signals split into four 600 to 603 from a sneak signal. The device further comprises an error monitoring circuits group 20 for monitoring errors in every circuits split to four F1 to F4 from a receiver 30 for receiving the echo residual signal 400 and a reception signal 300, and for sending re-training request signals 500 to 503 and re-training notification signals 700 to 703 to be notified to respective counter devices from respective circuits F1 to F4 when the errors are monitored; and an ECG 40 for performing the echo cansellation on the transmission signal 100 in every circuits split to four F1 to F4 after receiving the re-training request signals 500 to 503 and the echo residual signal 400, and for transmitting the echo replica signals 600 to 603 to the subtracter 60.
