PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To appropriately exchange facsimile picture information with the outside of a local area network. SOLUTION: A value of an IP address set to a present terminal is investigated and when the value is a value of a private IP address, a bidirectional channel mode is set as a data channel requested in the case of T.38 communications, so that appropriate data communications are performed.
