PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a pedal retraction quantity restraining device capable of moving a pedal toward the front section of a car body sufficiently from a crew room. SOLUTION: The pedal 23 is moved toward the front section of the car body further exceeding turning quantity around an axle by fixing a mounting plate 29 at the front section of a pedal bracket 24 for supporting the spindle 27 of the pedal 23 to a dash panel 12 and also mounting the connection member 30 at the rear section of the pedal bracket 24 on a cowl panel 32 so as to be detachable when the car body moves rearward, arranging a steering hanger 17 opposing to the car body rear section side of a displacement restricting section 50 extending on the side in the car body right and left directions from the lower side more than the spindle 27 of the pedal 23 and twist-deforming the pedal bracket 24.
