PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide an image processor which deletes only an image produced by the shadow of a closed hole, etc. to remove unwanted data. SOLUTION: The image processor comprises a means (binary processor) 13 for extracting a fragment image from image data, a means (removal candidate deciding processor) 14 for deciding whether the extracted fragment is a fragment image produced in reading the image data, and a means (optimizing processor) 15 for optimizing the image data by applying a specified process to the image data of the fragment image produced in the reading.
