SELF-PROPELLED EQUIPMENT AND ITS PROGRAM

PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a self-propelled equipment traveling along a wall in which correct angle conversion is applied based on the output from a gyroscope to automatically travel toward a targeted direction accurately. SOLUTION: The equipment includes a traveling means 2 for moving forward and backward, a traveling control means 3 for controlling the traveling means 2 so as to make a main body 1 travel toward a given direction determined with reference to the wall as, a gyroscope 4 for detecting an angular velocity for turning the direction, and a direction calculating means 7 for calculating a running direction of the main body 1 based on the angular velocity detected by the gyroscope 4. This structure resets the traveling direction calculated by the direction calculating means 7 into the direction set with reference to the wall, thereby provide the self-propelled equipment capable of traveling toward a targeted direction accurately with reference to the wall.
