PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide an optical agitator in which coherent light is converted into substantially incoherent light by rotating an optical agitation plate at a peripheral speed of 1,800 times to a laser beam diameter per minute or larger . SOLUTION: The optical agitator is provided with the optical agitation plate 8 arranged in an optical path and a hollow motor 2 which rotates the optical agitation plate 8 at high speed, and the laser light is converted into substantially incoherent light by making the laser light incident on the optical agitation plate 8.
