PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide an electrophotographic photoreceptor having excellent mechanical durability and image stability in the use for a log period of time, a method for manufacturing the electrophotographic photoreceptor, an image forming apparatus, a process cartridge, and an image forming method using these. SOLUTION: The electrophotographic photoreceptor has at least a photosensitive layer and a surface protective layer on a conductive support, in which the surface protective layer contains at least a urethane resin and this urethane resin contains a cross-linked polymer formed of at least isocyanate and polyol having a hindered amine skeleton.
