PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a plate material equipped with a bending groove which equally disperses stress applied at bending at a right angle, forms a crack or shift at a bent part and ensures high adhesive strength in a bent state. SOLUTION: The bending groove is equipped with a projection projected from the bottom part of the groove in an isosceles triangle shape and groove side surface forming parts, which have projection side opposed parts rising from both sides of the projection and opposed to both oblique sides of the projection when the plate material is bent, provided to a part thereof. One of the groove side surface parts is equipped with at least two staircase-like expanded stepped parts and the other one of them is equipped with superposed parts provided with staircase-like stepped parts opposed to the respective stepped parts of the groove side surface forming parts when the plate material is bent at an almost right angle centering around the projection.
