SCATTERING TYPE OPTICAL COMPENSATING TYPE CURVED ELECTRIC FIELD REFLECTIVE TYPE AND TRANSPARENT REFLECTIVE TYPE LIQUID CRYSTAL DISPLAY

PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a scattering type optical compensating type fringe field reflective type and transparent reflective type liquid crystal display.

SOLUTION: The reflective type or transparent reflective type liquid crystal display (LCD) is provided with a TFT plate; a color filter; a liquid crystal layer having negative dielectric anisotropy between the TFT plate and the color filter; a shared electrode composed of a pixel electrode and a plurality of projection-like electrodes given to the liquid crystal layer by generating a curved electric field (fringe field) formed upward of the TFT plate; a compensating film for compensating a phase difference formed by the liquid crystal layer formed on the color filter; a deflection film forming an included angle to an extension axis by the deflection axis on the outside of a pixel cell; and a scattering film enhancing brightness in the inside of the color filter.
