<P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a liquid crystal display device in which both luminance of transmissive display and luminance of reflective display are improved. <P>SOLUTION: By using a TFT (thin film transistor) 9 formed of low temperature polycrystalline silicon, a reflection electrode 12 formed of metal with high reflectance such as silver and aluminum, and a color filter 29a covering only a transmissive region, high reflectance is secured even when an area of a reflective region A is small and an area of a transmissive region is increased. Thereby visibility in both reflective display and transmissive display are improved in a reflective-transmissive liquid crystal display device. <P>COPYRIGHT: (C)2004,JPO |
