PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a manufacturing method of a chip-type thermistor for highly precisely obtaining the chip-type thermistor with a small dispersion for the resistance value. SOLUTION: In the manufacturing method of the chip-type thermistor 1, surface electrodes 3 and 4 are formed on at least one main face of a thermistor element 2, by extending them in a center direction from opposite end edges, and an insulating resin film 5 is formed to cover both main faces of the surface electrodes 3 and 4 and the thermistor element 2. A part of the surface electrode 3 or/and the thermistor element 2 is trimmed by having laser beams irradiated from above the insulating resin film 5, and then the resistance value is adjusted.
