PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a multiple demarcated ceramic substrate or a ceramic mother substrate which can be effectively prevented from being carelessly divided as division starts at the end of a dividing groove as a starting point and to enable an electronic element to be surely and accurately mounted on each of the demarcations divided by the dividing grooves. SOLUTION: The dividing grooves 2 dividing the flat ceramic mother substrate 1 into a plurality of demarcations are formed on each surface of the mother substrate 1 as separating from the periphery of the mother substrate 1, and blind holes 4 which are each wider and deeper than the dividing groove 2 are formed on the ceramic mother substrate 1 at positions between both ends of the dividing grooves 2 and the periphery of the substrate 1 so as not to overlap with each other in a vertical direction as communicating with the dividing grooves 2.
