PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a super-wide angle zoom lens constituted so that a viewing angle (covering angle) at a wide angle end exceeds 2ω=102°, further, the lens has an aperture diameter of about F4 and a zooming ratio of about two-power, the lens is small-sized, constituted of a small number of lenses, and of high performance, the ambient light quantity is remarkably large, and the lens has an aspherical surface which can be easily manufactured. SOLUTION: As for the zoom lens provided with a first lens group G1 having a negative refractive power and a second lens group G2 having a positive refractive power in order from an object side and for varying the power by changing the air spacing between the first lens group and the second lens group, the 1st lens group G1 is provided with a negative lens component Ln and a positive lens component Lp, and the negative lens component Ln has at least one aspherical lens Lasp, and the aspherical lens Lasp satisfies a prescribed condition.
