PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide an organic photoreceptor which exhibits stable moire generation prevention effect even in image exposure using interference light of a laser etc. and also generates no image defect such as a black spot and to provide an apparatus and a method for image formation and a process cartridge which use the organic photoreceptor. SOLUTION: The organic photoreceptor is characterized in that an intermediate layer formed by using at least one kind selected out of an organic metal compound and a silane coupling agent is provided on a cylindrical conductive base having even saw-tooh surface of 20 to 300 saw teeth per mm.
