PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a wire for removing an endovascular foreign body and a medical appliance which are advantageous for reduction of a diameter in the state of a reduced diameter by simple constitution, which surely catches and removes an endovascular embolus material without damaging a blood vessel, and with which catching situation of the embolus material is easily confirmed in radiography. SOLUTION: The wire 1A for removing the endvascular foreign body comprises: a long-length wire body 2; branched wire parts 4a and 4b extended so as to be branched from the distal end of the wire body 2; and filament parts 51, 52 and 53 disposed between the branched wires 4a and 4b. A foreign body catching space 31 is formed so as to be surrounded by the branched wires 4a and 4b, and the filament part 51 positioned in the center of the filament parts 51, 52 and 53 are contrast parts having radiation opaqueness.
