PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a cyclone-type vacuum cleaner which can have an improved dust-collecting efficiency and compactness. SOLUTION: In this vacuum cleaner, which has a vacuum cleaner body having a cylindrical dust collecting chamber, a hose, and a suction body, the dust collecting chamber is placed in the horizontal direction and a blower and a power supplying part are placed side by side in the direction of the axis of a cylinder of the dust collecting chamber.
