PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a vacuum cleaner dispensable with a rib from an upper case for fixing a reel shaft of a cord reel. SOLUTION: The vacuum cleaner, comprising a lower case 2 of a main body case 4 housing an electric blower 8, and the cord reel 10 for winding a power cord in an upper case 3, has a fixing member (a rib 26) fixing an inner peripheral side end part of the main body case 4 of the reel shaft 40 in a lateral direction of the case 4, supporting the cord reel 10 in free rotation. The fixing member (the rib 26) is formed at a wheel cap 23 for rear wheels 20 fitted to the side surface side of the main body case 4. COPYRIGHT: (C)2004,JPO
