A method for producing aluminum hydroxide includes elevating, from 70° C. or lower to 85° C. or higher within 15 minutes, a temperature of a slurry of aluminum hydroxide suspended in a sodium aluminate solution, which aluminum hydroxide has been obtained through the Bayer's process, and then maintaining the temperature of the slurry, without being lowered to 80° C. or lower, for at least 15 minutes from temperature elevation initiation.
