<P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide an implement for assisting an elderly or disabled and challenging person to stand up, sit down, and also to walk as needed. <P>SOLUTION: An elevating/lowering member 7 having a seat board 20 is supported on a cart 1. A gas spring 10 (spring means) normally gives stress upward which is substantially equal to the body weight of an assisted person to the elevating/lowering member 7. A gear 16 is arranged in a rotary shaft 12 to be rotated by being linked with the elevating/lowering of the member 7, a worm 17 is engaged with the gear 16, and then, the elevating/lowering member 7 is elevated/lowered by the rotation of the worm 17. <P>COPYRIGHT: (C)2004,JPO |
