<P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a human body abnormality detection device which does not produce false detection by disposing a leaving-the-room indication means for transmitting leaving-the-room information by the operation of a person subject to detection himself. <P>SOLUTION: The human body abnormality detection device has a microphone 3a for detecting sounds in a bath room 2; an infrared ranging sensor 3b for detecting entrance into the bath room 2; and abnormality decision means 140a, 140b which detect the person subject to detection with the infrared ranging sensor 3b to start monitor operation, and makes a decision on the abnormal action status of the person subject to detection based on sound information detected with the microphone 3a. The human body abnormality detection device has an operation switch 6a which indicates the leaving-the-room of the person subject to detection and an output part 6b which outputs the leaving-the-room information, and an exit/entrance panel 6 is provided which indicates the leaving-the-room of the person subject to detection from a space subject to detection. The abnormality decision means 140a, 140b terminates making a decision on the abnormality action status based on the leaving-the-room information outputted from the output part 6b.
