<P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a sealing member for a fuel cell which is easy-to-handle and free from trouble about assembling instability such as positional deviation. <P>SOLUTION: A sealing member for fuel cell 11 is sandwiched by separators 2 together with a unit cell 16 in which a pair of film-fixing electrodes including a catalyst layer are located on the both sides of a solid polymer membrane respectively, where the sealing member for fuel cell 11 has a locking part 13 locking on the periphery of the separator 2, to be sandwiched by the separators 2 together with the unit cell 16 after being assembled on at least one of the separators 2.
