PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a dust collector in which a body provided with a motor and a fan is separably placed on an upper part of a tank, air can be suctioned from a suction port provided on the tank and disposal of the dust can be simply and certainly carried out. SOLUTION: A paper filter 14 comprises a bag body 15 having an opened central part, and a cylindrical connector 16 connected to the opening of the bag body 15 and having approximately the same length as an upward projection height from a partition wall 9 of a connection cylinder 13. The paper filter 14 is installed by fitting the connector 16 to an upper end of the connection cylinder 13 such that the opening of the bag body 15 is supported at approximately the same height as the upper end opening of the connection cylinder 13.
