PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To efficiently perform reading processing of a color original image without performing original scan processing a plurality of times with simple interface circuit configuration. SOLUTION: The image processing apparatus is configured such that a reader controller 106 switches sequential reading of read (R), green (G) and blue (B) for every line in orientation of vertical scanning when an image reader reads the original image and image data is transmitted in a sequence of the red (R), the green (G) and the blue (B) for every line in the orientation of vertical scanning from the reader controller to a printer controller 2103 during execution of a scanning function.
