PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide an opening/closing device capable of being easily mounted, and to provide a method for mounting the opening/closing device. SOLUTION: The opening/closing device 11 is formed of brackets 14, a take-up body 15, an opening/closing body 21, guide rails 22, and guide rail bearers 23. The brackets 14 are separated from each other and opposed to each other. The take-up body 15 is borne by the brackets 14. The opening/closing body 21 is mounted on the take-up body 15 in a manner being wound in and wound out of the same. The guide rails 22 function to guide both right and left sides of the opening/closing body 21 when it is wound in and wound out by the take-up body 15. The guide rail bearers 23 are arranged on the brackets 14, respectively, in one body, for fixing the guide rails 22 thereto. Thus by arranging the guide rail bearers 23 on the brackets 14, each bracket 14 and each guide rail bearer 23 are handled as a single member, and therefore mounting work of the opening/closing device in a device accommodating section is simplified, in the construction site, whereby mounting of the device is facilitated.
