CONSTRUCTION METHOD OF CAISSON WATER TANK

PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To easily immerse a side wall of a caisson water tank down to a prescribed position under the ground surface without having influence of surrounding ground pressure and adhesion of earth. SOLUTION: The side wall 1 of the caisson water tank is immersed down to the prescribed position under the ground surface E by dead weight by excavating the ground 4a inside of the side wall 1 by a glove bucket 5a. When immersion becomes difficult since the side wall 1 sticks to the ground by the surrounding ground pressure and the large adhesion of the earth in the middle of the immersion, excavating earth (a load material) W is put in vessels by installing a plurality of vessels 3 in an upper part of the side wall 1. Thus, a load of the excavating earth W is added to the side wall 1 as a couterweight, and sticking force of the periphery of the side wall 1 and the ground 4a is surely cut off so that the side wall 1 is easily immersed.
