PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a ventilation starter which is for use in a building panel to be horizontally laid as an outer wall material of a building or a structure, and arranged at the lower end of the panel at which the panel laying is started, and has a venting function imparted thereto. SOLUTION: The starter A is formed at the lower end of the building panel B forming external facing, and has a ventilation member 6 arranged on the front surface or the rear surface thereof.
