<p>The tubular filter, with folded pleats in a star formation in cross section, is used as a self-standing filter without a support, or is fitted with an inserted support tube which distorts under a maximum pressure and reasserts to its original shape when pressure is relaxed. The fold depth (t) remains unchanged when relaxed, and when under pressure. In the rest phase, the tubular filter diameter (D) and the fold gap (A) give start dimensions. In the working phase, the diameter is reduced (DW) and also the fold gap is smaller (AW), and the deposited filtrate is compressed.</p> |
