PLASMA UROTENSIN IN HUMAN HEART FAILURE

摘要

The present invention provides a method for the diagnosis of heart failure i n a mammalian subject. The level of urotensin in a sample of bodily fluid from the subject is measured and compared to reference levels typically found in the said bodily fluid of a subject which are indicative of the absence of heart failure. An elevated level of urotensin is indicative of heart failure .
