<P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a unit that can be attached to or detached from a plurality of electrophotographic image forming apparatus bodies, a process cartridge as an example of the unit, an assembly method of the unit for efficiently recycling a storage means mounted to the unit and the process cartridge, and a method for assembling the process cartridge. <P>SOLUTION: The process cartridge having a storage means and the process cartridge without any storage means are compatibly attached to or detached from the plurality of image forming apparatus bodies.
