<P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a single-acting hydraulic cylinder device wherein the disassembly of a cylinder is dispensed with durability of packing is improved, and abrasion of the packing is reduced. <P>SOLUTION: This single-acting hydraulic cylinder device 10 wherein a piston 17 is slidably fitted to a cylinder body 14 through the packing 15, 16 to form an oil pressure supply chamber 23 at one side of the cylinder body, and a ram return chamber 18 is formed at the other side, is provided with an oil supply port 34 on the ram return chamber, and the oil supplied from the oil supply port is stored in the ram return chamber to dip the packing therein. A first oil tank 66 is mounted near the cylinder body, and the oil tank and the oil supply port are connected with a hydraulic oil pipe 71. As the oil is stored in the ram return chamber, and the packing is dipped therein, the packing at the ram return chamber side is prevented from being brought into contact with ozone (O<SB>3</SB>) and oxygen by presence of the oil, which prevents the oxidation of the packing, as a result, the deterioration of the packing is delayed, and the durability of a lip part of the packing is improved. <P>COPYRIGHT: (C)2004,JPO |
