<p><P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide an occupant status sensor capable of accurately sensing occupant's biological information by keeping an electrode uncontaminated by contaminants. <P>SOLUTION: The occupant status sensor has an electrode 13 provided at a steering wheel 1, with a photocatalytic material added to the electrode.
