PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To suppress tile boundary distortion while reducing a hardware scale such as a memory by calculating pixels located adjacent to a tile boundary but outside the tile boundary with an interpolation operation without using the pixels located adjacent to the tile boundary but outside the tile boundary.
SOLUTION: The reference area of each of divided tiles 0 to 3 is expanded to a dotted line part (tile 1'). Pixels with a "×" mark (pixels located adjacent to a tile boundary but outside a tile) are not used to expand the reference area of the tile. For example, the pixel value of a "reference" mark is calculated by an interpolation operation of four pixels ("black circle" mark) around the pixel of the "reference" mark.
COPYRIGHT: (C)2004,JPO
|
