LIGHT SOURCE UNIT AND PROJECTOR USING THIS

PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a light source unit which enables a compact size and cost reduction while eliminating the fear of breakage of a lamp terminal by improving a connecting structure between the lamp terminal and a lead wire.

SOLUTION: A nickel wire 43 is used in a connected part with the lamp terminal of the lead wire. The tip of this nickel wire 43 is inserted into a sleeve 44 made of a nickel-iron alloy, and the nickel wire 43 and a terminal 311 made of molybdenum are spot-welded via the sleeve 44. The sleeve 44 changes into a flat shape by the press during spot-welding and curves in a dog leg shape so as to hold the terminal 311, and the side face of the terminal 311 is bonded in the state to sink a little into the flat side of the sleeve 44. Further, a melting part 441 is formed so as to cover the side face of the terminal 311.
