<p><P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide an apparatus that is connected to a system for controlling the opening of valves as required, and accurately determine an abnormality in a gland packing and a mounting abnormality of an electropneumatic positioner with a simple processing action using an automatic set-up function of the electropneumatic positioner with a simple threshold value. <P>SOLUTION: The apparatus sends an instruction for diagnosing the abnormalities from an SFC 4' to a electropneumatic positioner 3. A CPU 3B1 of the electropneumatic positioner 3 sends a parameter, which is acquired and stored in a memory 3B2 during an automatic set-up executing time, to the SFC 4'. The CPU 3B1 of the electropneumatic positioner 3 aquires a parameter by using a part of the automatic set-up function and sends the parameter to the SFC4'. A CPU 4-1 of the SFC 4' diagnoses the abnormalities from a parameter (initial value) sent from the electropneumatic positioner 3 during the automatic set-up execution, a parameter (present value) at a diagnostic time, and a threshold for diagnosing the abnormalities stored in a memory 4-4. <P>COPYRIGHT: (C)2004,JPO</p> |
