摘要 PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a structure, in which an optical module with an optical waveguide substrate accompanying heat generation effectively dissipates heat and which is miniaturized and made thin. SOLUTION: The structure of an optical module is constituted so that the optical waveguide substrate 21 accompanying heat generation and a circuit board 5 provided with a terminal pin 36 are installed on a loaded substrate 31, while the loaded substrate 31 wired and connected in between the circuits of the optical waveguide substrate and the circuit board is mounted on a heat-dissipating substrate 51, and the optical waveguide substrate 21, and the circuit board 35 are covered with a cover 65 secured, surrounding the periphery of the heat-dissipating substrate 51 and the terminal pin 36 for the circuit board 35 and optical fibers 22 connected to both sides of the optical waveguide substrate 21 are led out to the outside of the cover 65, respectively.
