PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a float type drain trap where a float and a valve can be simultaneously seated at upper and lower valve ports, respectively. SOLUTION: An inlet 4, a valve chest 3, and an outlet 11 are formed by a casing comprising a body 1, a lid body 2, and a seat member 9. The upper and lower valve ports 12, 13 on the same upper and lower shafts for allowing the valve chest 3 to communicate with the outlet 11 are provided in the seat member 9. The float 14 for opening and closing the upper valve port 12 is arranged in the upper valve chest 3 of the upper valve port 12, and a valve element 15 for opening and closing the lower valve port 13 is arranged at the side of the upper outlet 11 of the lower valve port 13. The upper end face of an upper guide rod 16 comes into contact with the lower end face of the float 14 at a position where the float 14 is seated at the upper valve port 12 and the valve element 15 is seated at the lower valve port 13.
