PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a roller bearing in which a sensor-holding member can be fast locked to a race ring. SOLUTION: In the roller bearing, a step 12g is formed axially outside of a raceway surface 12b for a ball 11 in an outer ring 12, and an annular groove 12c is formed in the outside of the step 12g of the outer ring 12. An insertion member 17, which is pressed by the step 12g, inserts under deformation, a locking pawl 14a of the sensor-holding member 14 into the groove 12c. Thus, the sensor-holding member 14 can surely be fixed to the outer ring 12 since the pawl 14a of the member 14 can surely be engaged with the groove 12c. COPYRIGHT: (C)2004,JPO
