PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a structure wherein foreign matters hardly pass through an inlet port 9, and further hardly caught between a valve seat 8 and a valve element 7, in a control valve 1 provided with a fluid inlet port 9 at an outer peripheral side of the valve seat 8. SOLUTION: In this control valve 1 wherein the valve seat 8 is mounted on a bottom face of a valve chest 6, the fluid inlet 9 is formed at the outer peripheral side of the valve seat 8, and a fluid outlet 10 is formed on an inner peripheral side of the valve seat 8, the inlet 9 is provided with an inlet shielding part 12 for making the foreign matters hardly pass through the inlet 9 by reducing an opening area of the inlet 9.
