PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To enable spraying with different spray angles respectively suitable for uniform combustion and stratified charge combustion. SOLUTION: An injection hole 4 with a circular cross section is formed at a tip center of an injection valve body 1, and a needle valve 2 opens and closes an entrance opening of the injection hole 4. A swirler chip 6 is fixed to surround the needle valve 2, and a fuel guide groove 11 is recessed into the tip surface thereof along the tangential direction. A plurality of bypassing grooves 13 extending in the axial direction are recessed into the outer circumference of the needle valve 2, a second cylindrical part 15 remaining at the tip thereof. When the lifting amount of the needle valve 2 is small, tip portions of the bypassing grooves 13 axially overlap a tip opening of the fuel guide groove 11 of the swirler chip 6, allowing the fuel to flow in the radial direction from the grooves 13, therefore a swirl component is small. When the lifting amount of the needle valve 2 is large, the bypassing grooves 13 are closed, the fuel flows in through the fuel guide groove 11, imparting strong swirl component.
