PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To ignite an internal combustion engine at a suitable timing according to an acceleration/deceleration state of it without increasing operation parameters in ignition timing control. SOLUTION: An ignition timing correction amount adv from a basic ignition timing in a normal time of the internal combustion engine is calculated by prediction from a preset conformation map, by an acceleration rate in accelerating the internal combustion engine calculated based on this periodic time TPINT and a previous periodic time TPINTB by one period in response to the crank angle (360°CA) of the internal combustion engine. An ignition pulse is generated based on a set time TDOFF of a timer for ignition corrected based on the calculated ignition timing correction amount adv. Thus, the ignition timing in accelerating the internal combustion engine is suitably corrected without increasing calculation parameters, and an output, running sensitivity, and fuel economy of the internal combustion engine can be improved without increasing cost.
