PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a process for manufacturing a high-strength sintered ore stored in an ore yard which particularly has an excellent cold strength and is used as a raw material for a blast furnace. SOLUTION: A raw material blend contains an iron ore material wherein≥50 mass% ore has a bulk density of≥4.3 g/cm<SP>3</SP>. Coke, limestone, return fines, water, etc. are added to and mixed with the iron ore material, granulated, loaded onto a pallet in a sintering machine to achieve a bed layer thickness of≥490 mm and subjected to a sintering treatment.
