PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide foaming polystyrene-based resin particles having less content and diffusion amount of aromatic hydrocarbons such as styrene, toluene,etc., having an excellent foaming property and obtaining a foamed molded article having a high strength and flexibility. SOLUTION: The foaming polystyrene-based resin particles are characterized by containing 3-10 wt. % organic compound having≥90°C boiling point as a foaming agent, 0.01-2 wt. % fatty acid ester being liquid at a normal temperature as a plasticizer and 0.01-2 wt. % paraffin being solid at a normal temperature based on 100 wt. % styrene-based resin having 200,000-400,000 weight-average molecular weight.
