PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To facilitate a treatment for imparting a function of generating minus ions to a leather and allow the generated minus ions to effectively act on users. SOLUTION: A coating film comprising a base coat 3, a color coat 4 and a top coat 5 and containing a tourmaline 5a (in the top coat 5) is formed on the grain 2a of a hide 2 to prevent the coating material from infiltration into the hide 2 without subjecting the hide to a special treatment such as water repellent finish, facilitate the treatment for imparting a function of generating minus ions to a leather 1, and allow the generated minus ions to effectively act on users.
