PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To protect the front end of a hull which touches the water when traveling. SOLUTION: A front bumper 30 is mounted on the front end a gunwale 16 of a planing boat in a substantially U-shaped state in plan view to be parallel to the gunwale 16. The front bumper 30 comprises a main body part 30A to be mounted on the gunwale 16 and an extending part 30B extended upward along a deck 11 from the main body part 30A. The main body 30A has left and right groove parts 32L and 32R formed extendingly from near the front end to the side end.
